Do you have a book drop?

Yes, we do have a book drop at the library. The

book drop will be open for the public to use when

the library is CLOSED. Books can be returned in the

Book slot on the book drop. Magazines and anything

with a case, such as DVD's, can be returned in the

Media slot on the book drop. This is a new service we provide here at the library. We were able to purchase

the book drop due to the generous donations

of our patrons.

How do I renew online?

You can renew your items online by clicking the

Renew HERE link at the top left hand corner of

every page or by clicking HERE. A webpage will come

up asking for your borrower barcode number and

a PIN number. The borrower barcode number is the number on the back of your library card. Your PIN

number is the last four digits of your phone number.

If you would like a different PIN number, just tell us

at the circulation desk. You can use any four digit

number as a PIN. After logging into your account, click

the Checked Out link in the maroon bar at the top of the screen. This will give you a full list of items checked

out on your card. Each item has a box in front of it.

Click the boxes in front of the items you wish to renew,

or click the box next to the maroon Title bar to select all

the items, then click the box that says Renew located

both above and below the item list. Items can only

be renewed once online. If you have problems

renewing an item, or have any other questions, contact the library by phone at (937) 996-1741 or email by clicking the contact us icon at the bottom of the page.

What is my PIN number?

Your PIN number is the last four digits of your phone number. If you wish to have a different PIN number, tell us at the circulation desk. Any four digit number can be used as a PIN.

How do I put an item on hold?

To put an item on hold, search for the item in the card catalog. You can get to the card catalog by clicking the Search for Items link at the top left hand corner of every page, or by clicking HERE. Once you get to the catalog, search for the item by typing the correct information in the blank box. (For instance, if you want to look for a new Nicholas Sparks book, but aren't sure of the title, make sure the first box is set to author, then type Sparks, Nicholas in the search box) Once you find an item you want to put on hold, click until it is the only item on the screen. You should see the title at the top and a picture of the item. Scroll down until you see a maroon bar that says Copy/Holding Information. Above this maroon bar, to the right is a button that says Request Any Copy. Click that button and it will take you to a screen asking for you Borrower barcode number and a PIN number. The Borrower barcode number is the number on the back of your library card. Your PIN number is the last four digits of your phone number. After entering these numbers, click the Login button. A Request Confirmation screen will come up next. Click the Request button at the bottom of the screen. On the next screen, click return to searching and continue to look for more items you wish to place on hold. When you are finished placing items on hold, click the Logout button at the top right corner of the screen. If you have any more questions, please contact the library at (937) 996-1741 or email us by clicking the contact us link at the bottom of the page.

Can I receive library notifications by email?

Yes, any library patron can receive notifications by email. Patrons who like to place items on hold can be notified by email instead of receiving a phone call when their item comes in. Also, an email is sent a few days before items are due, giving you a reminder to return or renew before a fine has a chance to accrue. When items become overdue, another email is sent out as a reminder to return or renew an item and letting you know that a fine has begun accruing.

Can we send and receive faxes? How much do they cost?

Yes, the library sends and receives faxes. Our fax number is (937) 996-1473. We charge $1.00 per page to send up to five pages, then five to forty pages is only $5.00. We also receive faxes for $1.00 per page up to five pages, then five to forty pages is $5.00.
