Taking Time During the Holidays

Hopefully during this busy holiday season, you will take some time for yourself. An easy, FREE way to do this is a visit to New Madison Public Library. You can grab a magazine and head over to a comfy rocker for a quiet moment. You could also pick out some movies to watch or books to read at home. You could even multitask by listening to a bestseller as you drive around doing errands. We make it easy to find just the right fit for you.

If it is a bit of fellowship that you crave, we have that too! The Friends of NMPL will be hosting their Annual Christmas Open House on Tuesday, Dec. 10 with refreshments all day and live music from 3-5:30. You can also come make a Christmas craft at our Craft & Create event on Friday, Dec. 20 at 1:00. We truly do have Something for Everyone here at NMPL.

If after visiting us, you would like to include NMPL in your holiday giving, we have several options. You can join the Friends of the Library for only $2 a year and work with them to raise donations. You can also give directly to the Library and choose a specific area for your donation to work in the Library. For instance, we always welcome sponsors for our Summer Reading Programs or our Teen Programs. We also welcome support for specific types of resources like nonfiction resources. If you are interested in learning about any of these, please email me at or call 937-996-1741 and ask for Brenda.

The New Madison Public Library trustees, staff, and I all wish you a wonderful Christmas and a bright new year!
